finalmente a giugno tutto ciò è stato di nuovo realtà!
Abbiamo ripreso in mano la nostra vita da nomadi, da viaggiatori seriali, da wanderluster, le valigie impolverate aspettavano solo di essere riempite, l’auto di essere rimessa in moto per macinare km su km.
Ricomincio da qui, dalla nostra Italia, dal nostro Belpaese che ha sofferto troppo.
Ricominciamo dal lago di Garda e dal sole che ci ha dato il benvenuto tramontando sull’acqua; un luogo che sa di libertà, quella che per troppo tempo abbiamo perso, rincorso e ora, forse, finalmente ritrovato (o almeno in parte) …
Quattro giorni di puro relax alla scoperta dei caratteristici paesini che costellano la sponda sud-orientale del lago.

We got our life back on track as nomads, as serial travelers, as wanderlusters,
the dusty suitcases were just waiting to be filled, the car to be restarted to grind km after km.
I start from here, from our Italy, from our beautiful Country that has suffered too much.
Let’s start again from Lake Garda, from the sun that welcomed us setting on the water; a place that smells of freedom, the freedom we have lost for too long, chased and now, perhaps, finally found (or at least in part) …

For the first part of the trip, our choice fell on the beautiful town of Bardolino, in the province of Verona, a few minutes from Lazise, the famous “first free town in Italy”.
We were guests of the Hotel Caesius Thermae & Spa Resort **** S, a place entirely dedicated to the customer, to his interests, needs, where well-being and the aspiration to perfection are the masters.

185 camere curate nei minimi dettagli, dove nulla è lasciato al caso e l’ospite si sente a casa propria.
Nella nostra Executive Suite con ampio balcone sulla piscina e vista lago, non mancava proprio nulla!
Due bagni, un ampio salottino con angolo bar, una camera matrimoniale super spaziosa con divanetto e scrittoio, e persino la cabina armadio!
Ovviamente non ci siamo fatti mancare una gustosa e super abbondante colazione in camera…
anzi, sul terrazzo vista lago. Occhi appagati e palato soddisfatto!

In our Executive Suite with large balcony overlooking the pool and lake view, nothing was missing!
Two bathrooms, a large sitting room with a corner bar, a super spacious double bedroom with sofa and desk, and even a walk-in closet!
Obviously we did not miss a tasty and super abundant breakfast in the room … indeed, on the terrace overlooking the lake.
Fulfilled eyes and satisfied palate!
Super consigliato per la location elegante e raffinata (all’aperto a bordo piscina), gentilezza del personale e bontà del cibo, il ristorante Le Vele. Le materie prime di altissima qualità, massima cura dei dettagli, una ricca selezione di proposte culinarie per tutti i gusti.
Bevande, succhi freschi, frutta, yogurt, affettati, formaggi, cereali e dessert preparati con ingredienti selezionati.
Gustose crêpes e prelibate omelette vengono cucinate sul momento dallo chef.

To start the day in the best possible way, the restaurant is transformed into a breakfast room offering a huge choice of products.
Drinks, fresh juices, fruit, yogurt, cold cuts, cheeses, cereals and desserts prepared with selected ingredients.
Tasty crêpes and delicious omelettes are cooked on the spot by the chef.

Il suo centro termale e SPA di 3000 m² è il più rinomato della zona.
L’acqua termale Caesius nasce dalle pendici del Monte Baldo e sgorga direttamente qui, nella fonte di acqua oligominerale del Centro Termale. Qui si viene per ritrovare l’equilibrio di corpo e mente e per riacquistare energia e vitalità.
Non potevamo chiedere di meglio dopo un periodo così stressante!
Pensate che l’hotel ospita il centro di medicina Ayurvedica più attrezzato e completo di tutta Italia!
Le cure Ayurvediche bilanciano le energie e purificano l’organismo, agendo sulla salute sia psicofisica che comportamentale.
Tra un bagno in piscina e uno squisito spuntino al bar dell’Hotel Caesius Thermae & Spa Resort, ne ho approfittato per godermi un bel bagno purificante e rigenerante nella piscina interna riscaldata e ho avuto modo di provare un fantastico Body Brushing, il massaggio ayurvedico con le spazzole, che esfolia, riattiva la circolazione e combatte la cellulite. Che relax!

Its 3000 m² thermal wellness center is the most renowned in the area.
The Caesius thermal water arises from the slopes of Monte Baldo and flows directly here, in the source of mineral water of the Thermal Center. People come here to rediscover the balance of body and mind and to regain energy and vitality.
We couldn’t ask for anything better after such a stressful life period!
Just think that the hotel houses the best equipped and complete Ayurvedic medicine center in all of Italy!
Ayurvedic treatments balance the energies and purify the body, acting on both psychophysical and behavioral health.
Between a swim in the pool and a delicious snack at the bar of the Hotel Caesius Thermae & Spa Resort, I took the opportunity to enjoy a nice purifying and regenerating bath in the heated indoor pool and I could try a fantastic Body Brushing, the Ayurvedic massage with the brushes, which exfoliates, reactivates the circulation and fights cellulite. What relaxation!
Dintorni da visitare
Bardolino e Lazise
Per chi come noi ama alternare il riposo alla scoperta di luoghi nuovi e caratteristici, i dintorni dell’Hotel Caesius Thermae & Spa Resort offrono davvero un’ampia scelta di paesini e borghi lacustri.
A partire dalla stessa Bardolino, cittadina in cui si trova l’hotel, raggiungibile anche con le biciclette noleggiabili in loco, fino alla splendida Lazise, perfetta per una passeggiata romantica al tramonto sul lungolago.
Lazise si trova anch’essa sulla sponda veronese del lago di Garda ed è un piccolo e pittoresco borgo racchiuso da possenti cinta murarie.
Come vi accennavo all’inizio, è riconosciuta come il 1° Comune libero d’Italia.
Ebbene sì, nel lontano 983 la comunità chiese all’Imperatore Ottone II di poter godere di autonomie giuridiche e fiscali.
Per mantenere buoni rapporti con la popolazione e sfruttare le potenzialità del territorio, l’imperatore rese il paese autonomo.
Uno dei punti di forza di questo grazioso paese è il sole che tramonta sull’acqua.
Nati e cresciuti in una località marittima sia io che Nicola, il nostro elemento e ossigeno è sempre stato il mare.
Siamo abituati ai tramonti di fuoco sul mare della nostra Termoli che scompaiono dietro l’orizzonte, ma vi giuro che quando ci si è palesata davanti quella palla infuocata in procinto di abbracciare le acque del Garda, non abbiamo potuto fare a meno di rimanere estasiati.

Bardolino & Lazise
For those who like to alternate rest and discover new and characteristic places, the surroundings of the Hotel Caesius Thermae & Spa Resort really offer a wide choice of towns and lakeside villages.
Starting from Bardolino itself, the town where the hotel is located, which can also be reached by bicycles rented on site, to the splendid Lazise, perfect for a romantic walk at sunset along the lakefront.
Lazise is also located on the Veronese shore of Lake Garda and is a small and picturesque village enclosed by mighty walls.
As I mentioned before, it’s recognized as the 1st free municipality of Italy.
Back in 983 the community asked Emperor Otto II to be able to enjoy legal and fiscal autonomy.
To maintain good relations with the population and exploit the potential of the territory, the emperor made the country autonomous.
One of the strengths of this pretty town is the sun setting over the water.
Both Nicola and I were born and raised in a seaside location, our element and oxygen has always been the sea.
We are used to the fiery sunsets over the sea of our Termoli that disappear behind the horizon, but I swear to you that when that fiery ball about to embrace the waters of Lake Garda appeared in front of us, we were delighted.
Sirmione
Se siete disposti a spostarvi di qualche km in più, vi consiglio di visitare anche Sirmione, una sottile e lunga lingua di terra sulla sponda meridionale del lago che divide i golfi di Desenzano e Peschiera.
Il centro storico con le sue strette viuzze dai muri in pietra regala scorci romantici e suggestivi.
Da visitare, il maestoso Castello Scaligero medievale affacciato sull’acqua, le cui mura risalenti al 13° secolo sono bagnate su tutti i lati dal lago: grazie a ciò, in epoca antica, esso rappresentava un posto sicuro per le flotte scaligere.

Sirmione
If you are willing to drive for a few more kilometers, I recommend you Sirmione, a thin and long strip of land on the southern shore of the lake Garda that divides the gulfs of Desenzano and Peschiera.
The historic center with its narrow alleys and stone walls offers romantic and suggestive views.
To visit, the majestic medieval Scaligero Castle overlooking the water, whose walls dating back to the 13th century are bathed on all sides by the lake: thanks to this, in ancient times, it represented a safe place for the Scaliger fleets.
