Falkensteiner Hotel & SPA Carinzia : un paradiso tra le Alpi

Tröpolach, un villaggio nel cuore della Carinzia, ai piedi delle piste del comprensorio sciistico di Passo Pramollo (in tedesco Nassfeld), il più ampio di questa regione austriaca; questo piccolo paesino costituisce il punto d’accesso al Passo in quanto, oltre che con la strada, si può raggiungere direttamente anche con la cabinovia Millennium-Express, una delle più lunghe delle Alpi.

Tröpolach, a village in the heart of Carinthia, at the foot of the slopes of the Passo Pramollo ski area (in German Nassfeld), the largest of this Austrian region; this small village is the access point to the pass as, in addition to the road, it can also be reached by the Millennium-Express cable car, one of the longest in the Alps.

In questo meraviglioso contesto naturale sorge il Falkensteiner Hotel & SPA Carinzia ****, un resort in una zona paradisiaca della Carinzia. Esso è molto di più di un semplice wellness hotel, è un vero e proprio microcosmo caratterizzato da numerose possibilità di svago. Panorami mozzafiato in tutte le stagioni: cime innevate in inverno e suggestive distese verdi in estate. 

In this wonderful natural setting, the Falkensteiner Hotel & SPA Carinzia **** is located, a resort in a heavenly area of Carinthia. It is much more than a simple wellness hotel, it is a real microcosm characterized by numerous leisure possibilities. Breathtaking views in all seasons: snowy peaks in winter and suggestive green expanses in summer.

Una decina di giorni fa ho avuto il piacere di soggiornare in questo piccolo angolo di paradiso.
Ma partiamo dal principio.
Comodamente raggiungibile da Udine con il pullman o il treno, passando per Villach, questo stupendo resort mi ha accolta il 10 marzo intorno all’ora di pranzo.

Nel momento in cui ho messo piede nell’atrio dell’hotel ho subito iniziato a rendermi conto della grandezza e dell’eleganza di questo posto. Tutto è arredato in maniera curata e precisa con particolare attenzione ai dettagli, la modernità degli arredi si amalgama perfettamente con lo stile tipico degli chalet di montagna.

About ten days ago I had the pleasure of staying in this little corner of paradise.
But let’s start from the beginning.
Easily reachable from Udine by bus or train, passing through Villach, this beautiful resort welcomed me on March 10th around lunchtime.

The moment I stepped into the hotel lobby I immediately began to realize the greatness and elegance of this place. Everything is furnished in a careful and precise way with particular attention to details, the modernity of the furnishings blend perfectly with the typical style of mountain chalets.

Tre ampi piani dedicati alle 160 camere e suite, tutte dotate di una vista mozzafiato.
Io ho soggiornato in una delle loro junior suite, corredata di tutti i comfort; 47 m² suddivisi in ampio bagno dotato di doccia e vasca con vetrata sulla stanza da letto, zona notte e zona giorno separate da porte scorrevoli, ampio balcone, accogliente soggiorno con divano ad angolo, minibar, SAT-TV con radio integrata, spaziosa cabina armadio.

Three large floors dedicated to 160 rooms and suites, all with a breathtaking view.
I stayed in one of their junior suite, equipped with all comforts; 47 m² divided into a spacious bathroom with a shower and a bathtub with a window to the bedroom, a sleeping and living area separated each other by sliding doors, a large balcony, a cozy living room with a corner sofa, a minibar, a SAT-TV with integrated radio, a spacious closet .

Al mio arrivo in camera non è mancato un delizioso Welcome Home con frutta fresca da parte del team dell’hotel.
Dopo una veloce sistemazione, ci siamo diretti nella lobby bar per soddisfare i nostri palati con lo snack pomeridiano a base di piatti tipici austriaci, croati e sudtirolesi.

At my arrival, I found a delicious Welcome Home with fresh fruit from the hotel staff.
After a quick arrangement, we went to the lobby bar to satisfy our palates with the afternoon snack based on typical Austrian, Croatian and South Tyrolean dishes.

Dopodiché, il tempo di metterci il costume e prendere il kit di cortesia con accappatoio, ciabattine e borsa dato in dotazione dall’hotel, siamo andati a rilassarci nell’Aquapura SPA, 2400 m² di paradiso dell’acqua e del benessere, dotata di piscina indoor e outdoor aperte fino a tarda sera, sauna + whirlpool sauna esterna, sala cardio fitness, stanza relax con lettini ad acqua, zona massaggi e trattamenti.

Abbiamo potuto godere della meravigliosa piscina riscaldata interna ed esterna; la cosa più bella è stata poter fare il bagno circondati dalla neve e dalle montagne.
Le attività per rilassarsi sono davvero numerose; c’è solo l’imbarazzo della scelta!
Tra i trattamenti ci sono il peeling, i massaggi, le infusioni in sauna, il rilassamento profondo con campane tibetane.
E per chi vuole godersi un momento privato di coppia è disponibile la private SPA, un’eccezionale esperienza SPA per due che comprende un bagno a vapore, un letto ad acqua per rilassarsi con tè e frutta e letti Hammam riscaldati per i massaggi.

After that, the time to put on the swuimsuit and take the courtesy kit with bathrobe, slippers and bag provided by the hotel, we went to relax in the Aquapura SPA, 2400 m² of water and well-being paradise, with indoor and outdoor swimming pool open until late evening, sauna + whirlpool outdoor sauna, cardio fitness room, relaxation room with water beds, massage and beauty treatments area.

We could enjoy the wonderful indoor and outdoor heated pool; the best thing was to be able to swim surrounded by snow and mountains.
The activities to relax are really numerous; you are spoiled for choice!
Beauty treatments include peeling, massages, sauna infusions, deep relaxation with Tibetan bells.
And for those who want to enjoy a private couple moment, there is the private SPA, an exceptional spa experience for two which includes a steam bath, a water bed for relaxing with tea and fruit and heated Hammam beds for massages.

E dopo il relax, non c’è niente di meglio di una bella cena nella sala con vista sulle montagne; la cosa che più mi è piaciuta è stato l’abbondantissimo buffet, ogni sera con pietanze diverse.

Per concludere la serata, la sala bar accoglie i propri clienti in un’atmosfera familiare, allietandoli con la piacevole musica da piano bar.

And after relaxing, there is nothing better than a nice dinner in the room with a view of the mountains; the thing that I liked the most was the abundant buffet, every evening with different dishes.

For ending the evening, the lounge bar welcomes its guests in a family atmosphere, cheering them with the pleasant piano bar music.

Il giorno successivo, al nostro risveglio, ci siamo diretti nella sala dove servono la colazione internazionale.
Uova, bacon, toast prosciutto e formaggio, spremuta d’arancia, cornetti burro e marmellata, cappuccino fumante: ecco la mia colazione per cominciare la giornata con la carica giusta.

The next day, upon awakening, we went to the hall where international breakfast is served.
Eggs, bacon, toasted bread with ham and cheese, orange juice, croissant with butter and strawberry jam, delicious cappuccino: here is my breakfast to start the day with the right charge.

Non potendo sfruttare la mattinata sulle piste a causa del mio ginocchio infiammato, non c’è modo migliore di passare le domeniche in montagna se non trascorrendo qualche ora di relax nella zona SPA.

Not being able to spend the morning snowboarding on the slopes because of my inflamed knee, there is no better way to spend Sundays in the mountains than relaxing in the SPA area.

Dopo lo snack pomeridiano, nonostante la pioggia, abbiamo deciso di fare una passeggiata tra le vie del villaggio in cui sorge l’hotel.
Tröpolach è piccola ma deliziosa! E come ogni tipico paese austriaco di montagna che si rispetti, è caratterizzato da baite con tetti spioventi ed una chiesetta con campanile a punta.

After the afternoon snack, despite the rain, we decided to take a walk through the streets of the village where the hotel is located.
Tröpolach is small but delicious; it is characterized by chalets with sloping roofs and a church with a pointed bell tower.

Tornati in hotel, siamo pronti per la cena; questa volta però il dopo serata abbiamo preferito passarlo nella piscina outdoor che durante le ore serali è poco frequentata e abbiamo così potuto godere a pieno del paesaggio meraviglioso che circonda la struttura.

Prima di andare a dormire, ci siamo ritrovati con gli altri giovani attorno al braciere di fuoco che si trova nel giardino dell’hotel; una situazione perfetta per riscaldarsi e per fare nuove amicizie.

Back to the hotel, we are ready for dinner; this time, however, we preferred to spend the after dinner in the outdoor pool when there is almost nobody so we could enjoy better the wonderful landscape that surrounds the structure.

Before going to bed, we met with the other young people around the fire brazier located in the hotel’s garden; a perfect situation to warm up and make new friends.
